One Ingredient Diet : Day 26

When I started all this fun, I thought it was going to be a tough challenge. It has been the exact opposite.

The Groove

I love it when I am just rolling along and my body cooperates with me. Mind you, it takes providing my body what it needs to actually have it work well with me as well. Lately, I have been in this groove. BIG TIME!

I haven’t had any problems getting my runs in and hitting the gym. I have been straight-up DOMINATING lately. Yes, I am going to brag about it.

The crappy part is that I can’t just “get in the groove”. It’s often just natural and something that comes about by following a generally healthy path. Runners will know what I am talking about. It’s that time during a marathon when you don’t even know you are running, have a big grin on your face and are just in cruise control mode.

Though the groove is somewhat spontaneous, the actions you take can lead to more groove-esque moments.

Progress

Next week, I will be publishing my recap of my progress and pictures to go along with it. I will be detailing the whole experience and showing what can be accomplished on the One Ingredient Diet.

One HUGE misconception is that I am looking to lose a ton of weight. For me, this isn’t the case. For others, it may be. What I have been looking to do is take my weight down a bit, but primarily get my body toned up while adding a bit of muscle along with maintaining/increasing my mileage on my runs. In regards to my goals, I am well on my way to accomplishing this. I still have 5 more days of complete focus, but my results as of today would prove this works alone.

My progress was inevitable. I knew it was. Sometimes that is half the battle. I have been on this focused approach for over a handful of years now. I have lost focused at times, but I always knew that if I went with “the old reliable” I would and can get back to where I want to be.

I Should Have’s

In anything and everything you do, there are should have’s.

“I should have done this…”

“I should have done that…”

Accepting this from the start and just deciding to start is monumental. Just fricken’ starting is all you have to do. Take 100 steps forward and realizing you should have changed step #43 and step #57 really won’t matter. What matters is that you took 98 steps right.

Coming to an End

This has been a fun challenge. I definitely see more challenges coming in the near future. I am pumped to show my results next week and share a SUPER SECRET PROJECT that’s coming your way very soon…(here’s a sneak peek :))
